Found out my bullet journal habit uses up a whole pen every two months

I was cleaning out my desk drawer yesterday and found a pile of seven empty gel pens. I counted back and realized I started using them all in January. That means I finish one pen about every two months just from journaling. I track everything in my journal, from daily tasks to my garden's watering schedule. It's wild to see the physical proof of how much I write. Has anyone else tracked how long their supplies actually last?

Honestly, I always thought pens lasted forever. Seeing your pile of empties makes me want to check my own drawer now. Tbh, that's a pretty satisfying way to measure your effort.

It's a cool way to measure your work, like a little trophy case for your focus. I bet that pile feels more real than any digital record.

It's funny, I had the same kind of moment but with notebooks. I filled three of those cheap composition books last year just with work meeting notes. I found them stacked in a closet and it was this weird, solid proof of all that time spent.
