Flipped through my first bullet journal from 2016 last night
I was cleaning out my bookshelf and found my old notebook from when I started. The first few pages had a future log with events like a dentist appointment and a friend's wedding on the same day. Each month was a simple list of tasks, no fancy collections or trackers at all. I remember spending maybe 10 minutes a week on it, just jotting down what I needed to do. Now I look at my current journal with its color coded keys and habit graphs, and it feels like a different hobby. Has anyone else gone back and looked at their early journals? What did you notice?

Starting a bullet journal back then was like free therapy, right? My early pages were just a mess of to-do lists scribbled in the margins between doodles. Going back and seeing that wild look is so refreshing compared to my current layouts with their color codes and trackers. Kinda miss the raw, no pressure vibe of just writing whatever without a system.
