DAE switch from monthly spreads to weekly ones and never look back?

I used to do these elaborate monthly layouts with mood trackers and habit grids. Took me two hours each month and I barely looked at them after day three. Then about six months ago I just started a simple weekly log on a fresh two-page spread every Sunday night. Takes me 15 minutes tops and I actually use it to plan meals and chores. Has anyone else found their system got simpler over time instead of more complicated?

Totally agree. Monthly spreads always felt like setting up a pretty thing that I'd ignore by midweek. Weekly logs just feel way more practical and less forced (if that makes sense). You actually update them because they line up with real life. Simple is definitely the way to go once you stop caring about making it look like an art project.

But is it really that deep though? Planners don't need to be that serious.
