Pro tip: Booking a campsite instead of a hotel room saved my road trip
I planned a drive along the coast last fall but needed to keep costs low. I reserved a campsite at a state park for just twenty bucks a night. Cooking over a campfire meant I skipped expensive restaurants. With the money saved, I could visit a few more beaches and museums. It turned a tight budget into a full week of memories.

Oh totally, I tried that last summer to save some cash... ended up burning every single hot dog because I forgot how to build a proper fire. Still cheaper than a hotel, even if I had to eat slightly charred mystery meat for three days.

Camping lets you DIRECTLY connect with nature, turning travel into a richer adventure beyond just saving cash.

That's a solid plan for stretching a travel budget. Anthonyh38 is right about the nature connection being a bonus too. The best trips are the ones that feel real, not just expensive.
