My neighbor's comment about his water bill made me check ours

Ran into my neighbor Mike at the mailbox last week. He mentioned his water bill dropped by $30 a month after he fixed a leaky toilet flapper. Said it was a $5 part from the hardware store. I got home and thought about our own bill. Checked all our toilets. Found one running constantly. Fixed it in ten minutes. Our bill came yesterday. It was $28 less. Crazy how a tiny drip adds up so fast. Anyone else find a simple fix that saved way more than expected?

Same thing happened with our old showerhead. Swapped it for a low flow one and cut the bill almost in half.
