Meal planning on Sunday actually cut my food waste by half.

Used to just wing it every night and throw out spoiled veggies by Thursday. Now I spend 20 minutes planning lunches and dinners, and I'm saving about $30 a week. Anyone else find a routine that stuck?

Used to be a total skeptic about meal planning (thought it was just for those super organized type-A people). Saw posts like this and rolled my eyes, honestly. But then I tried it two months ago after tossing out a whole bag of moldy bell peppers and felt like such a dummy. Twenty minutes on a Sunday is practically nothing compared to the $30-40 I used to toss in the trash every week. Now I actually look forward to my Sunday planning session with my coffee, it feels weirdly satisfying. You have to find what works for you, but once it clicks it really clicks.

Honestly I was right there with you rolling my eyes at all those meal prep posts. I always thought it looked like way too much work for basically no payoff. But then I had a week where I threw away like half my groceries and felt so guilty about the money and the waste. So I tried it and @the_henry is totally right about the bell pepper thing, now I actually use everything I buy before it goes bad. It's wild how something so simple can click like that, I never thought I'd be that person but here I am. The Sunday coffee planning session is legit my favorite part of the week now too.
