Lost $60 on a meal prep delivery service I never should've tried

I signed up for one of those meal kit boxes, you know the ones with the big discounts for the first week. Figured I'd save time and eat better, but after 3 deliveries I realized I was paying double what I'd spend at the grocery store. The portions were tiny too, like one chicken thigh per person for dinner. Plus they kept sending me stuff I didn't order because their app was confusing. Anyone else get roped into this and end up wasting cash?

I cancelled after my first box and disputed the charge with my bank.

Yeah I had a friend who did basically the same thing @tylermurray. She signed up for one of those snack boxes and they kept charging her even after she cancelled online. She had to call the bank and file a dispute just to get them to stop. The whole thing took like three weeks to sort out and she was so annoyed she swore off subscription boxes forever after that. I guess some companies really make it hard to quit.
