Just realized I can split my electric bill by running the dryer at night

I went to a laundromat in downtown Portland last week and noticed the off-peak rates were half the daytime price. So I started running my home dryer after 9pm and my bill dropped $28 in one month. Anyone else found a hidden rate hack like this?

Honestly, that's a solid find. I started doing the same thing with my dishwasher and my electric bill dropped about $15 the next month. Ngl, I even shifted my laundry schedule so everything runs past 9pm now, and I unplugged my router overnight too since it was drawing power 24/7. Tbh, most people don't realize how much those little vampire drains add up, especially with baseline utilities charging more during peak hours. You could probably save even more if you look into time-of-use plans from your provider.

Yeah, that thing about vampire drains is no joke. My buddy Dave told me he unplugged his TV and soundbar when he went on vacation for a week, and when he came back his bill was like $8 lower than normal. He was so shocked he started doing it every night before bed, even unplugs his coffee maker now. I guess those little lights and standby modes really do add up over time.
