Just ran into an old neighbor at Stop & Shop who taught me a new meal planning trick

I ran into my neighbor Helen at the Market Basket in Derry last Thursday. She mentioned she uses her freezer like a bank - deposits on payday, withdrawals only for meals. How do you all handle the temptation to grab takeout when the freezer is stocked?

Did you try putting the takeout menus literally behind the frozen food so you'd have to dig past dinners to see them?

Wait, you put takeout menus BEHIND the frozen food? Like physically shoved them back there in a pile of frozen peas? That is some next level commitment to meal planning! I would totally forget the menus were even there and just order from memory. Or worse, I'd be craving pizza and dig through a bag of frozen broccoli to find the menu anyway. Helen's freezer bank idea sounds good but I feel like I'd just make a withdrawal and then still order takeout for the same night.
