I see a lot of people skip tracking their small daily buys
For years, I only wrote down my big bills and thought I was doing fine. Then I tracked every coffee, snack, and gas station stop for two weeks and it added up to over $200. That's money that just vanished without me even noticing. Now I use a simple app on my phone to log anything under $10 right when I buy it. It's crazy how much clearer my spending picture is. What's your method for catching those little costs?

You're right about that money just vanishing. I used to do the same thing and it was a real shock. Now I just keep a little notebook in my car and jot down anything I buy before I even drive away. Seeing it on paper makes it feel more real than an app for me.

Writing it down in a notebook just feels like extra work to me, lol. I actually prefer when it just vanishes from my account because then I can't obsess over every little thing I bought. Half the time I'd rather not know exactly how much I spent on coffee and snacks in a week, it just makes me feel bad. Plus with an app I can check at the end of the month and see the big picture instead of sweating the small stuff every single day.

That actually makes a lot of sense now.
