I finally got my grocery budget under $300 a month and then my fridge died on a Tuesday
I had my grocery plan down to $280 a month for me and my two kids, and then two weeks ago the fridge in my rental just quit and I lost about $90 of food in one night. Landlord dragged his feet for six days so I was stuck buying ice and eating out, which blew my whole budget for the month. Does anybody keep a small emergency fund just for food so a week like that doesn't wreck everything?
