Hit $1,847 in my emergency fund last Friday and I honestly feel like I'm doing this whole thing backwards
I set a goal of $2,000 in 10 months and somehow got to $1,847 by just throwing every spare $20 or $30 in there from my checking account on paydays. The part that bugs me is I did zero of the stuff people always say to do, no separate savings account at a different bank, no automatic transfers, no cutting subscriptions, and I still got this far. So is the whole "make it hard to access" advice just overblown, or am I setting myself up to blow it all next month?
