Finally got my grocery spending under $300 a month

I was spending close to $450 a month for just me, which felt crazy... I started planning meals around the weekly flyer for the Kroger by my house and buying store brands for basics. In two months, my bill dropped to about $280. Has anyone else had luck with a specific store's sales cycle?

Kroger's sales cycle is a total game changer, right? Planning meals around their flyer forces you to cook what's cheap instead of what you crave. The store brands for things like rice or pasta make a huge difference in the final bill. It's almost a fun challenge to see how low you can get it each week. Why pay full price for a brand name when the stuff next to it is basically the same?

Wait, you were spending $450 for just one person? Honestly that's wild to me, I feed a family of four for less than that most months. Tbh planning around sales is the only way to make it work.
