Am I the only one who tracked every single coffee shop purchase for a year?

Switching to a French press at home cut that line item from $720 to under $60, so what's your best 'latte factor' win?

$720 to $60 is a solid drop, no question. But @fiona_lane, I gotta push back a little here. For a lot of people, that morning coffee is the only time they sit still and breathe before work, and calling it a waste feels like missing the point. I tracked my coffee spending for three months once and realized I wasn't drinking less, I was just making myself miserable with a cheap brew I hated. The real win isn't cutting out every $5 charge, it's figuring out which ones actually matter to you and which are just habit. If that $720 bought you real enjoyment, it's not wasted money, it's just a different kind of spending. I'd rather save on stuff I don't care about than nickel and dime the few things I do.

That's a serious amount of money saved right there. Cutting out small daily purchases really does add up fast. Good on you for tracking it and making a change.

Totally agree with what adams.vera said about the small stuff adding up. I started checking my bank app every Sunday and it's crazy how many five dollar charges for coffee or snacks just bleed money over a month. It feels like those tiny buys are invisible until you actually look at the total. Makes you wonder what else we all spend on without really noticing, lol.
