That hostel worker in Budapest showed me a grocery store hack I still use
I was in Budapest last summer and this guy at the front desk (his name was Mate, he was maybe 25) told me to skip the tourist cafes and just buy pastries from the local bakeries near the markets. He said they sell day-old stuff for like 70 cents each, and honestly I got a whole week of breakfast for under $5. Has anyone else found a specific shop or trick like that in a city they visited?
