Stopped paying for airport parking 8 months ago, my hack is not the shuttle
I used to pay $14 a day for the economy lot at SeaTac, which added up to around $70 for a five day trip, until a guy at my mechanic's shop told me to check the off site lots a mile away. I switched to a small lot on Pacific Highway South that runs $6.50 a day, and after 8 months of trips I have saved a little over $400. The catch is you have to book online a week ahead or the rate jumps back up, and the shuttle only comes every 20 minutes, so plan an extra half hour. Everyone says just take the light rail, but from my side of town that is a 50 minute bus ride first, so the cheap lot wins for me. Has anyone found a lot near the airport that beats $6.50 without a membership?
