Spent 3 hours trying to book a bus from Krakow to Zakopane online

Honestly, I thought I'd just hop on a website and grab a ticket in 5 minutes. But every site I tried wanted a Polish phone number for the booking, or the payment just wouldn't go through with my US card. Ended up walking to the main bus station the day before and buying a paper ticket in 2 minutes flat. Has anyone else run into random country-specific booking barriers like that?

Honestly, same thing happened to me in Poland. Local payment systems are a nightmare if you don't have a Polish bank account.

Totally agree with @ericb66 on this one. I ran into the same problem in a few smaller EU countries where everyone uses their own local app. It really makes you miss the days of just handing over cash or swiping a card without thinking.
