Paid $80 for a bus ticket from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and it was a total win

I was worried about the 10 hour ride, but the bus had big seats, free snacks, and even a blanket. It saved me over $100 compared to flying and I got to see the countryside. What's the best long bus trip you've taken?

Honestly, totally agree. Took a twelve hour bus once and felt like a pretzel for a week.

Ten hours on a bus? That's a whole workday plus overtime sitting in a seat. How is that ever a total win? My back hurts just thinking about it.
