I grabbed that priority entry ticket for the Colosseum last month thinking I'd dodge a 2 hour wait, but the regular line moved faster because their scanner kept glitching on the QR codes. Ended up standing behind a family who argued with the guard for 8 minutes about a misprinted voucher while I watched the free line stream past. Has anyone else paid extra for a shortcut that backfired on them in a tourist spot, or did I just pick the one broken operation?
