My inflatable mattress sprung a leak in the middle of a Utah desert trip
Last month I drove out to Moab and set up camp near Canyonlands. On the second night around 2am I rolled over and heard that slow hissing sound, woke up with my hip on the dirt. Turns out a small rock had worn through the bottom seam, nothing I could patch with the cheap repair kit I brought. I ended up folding my jacket and sleeping on the tent floor for the rest of the trip, which was rough but doable. Has anyone had better luck with self-inflating pads that actually hold up on rocky ground, or is this just a known risk?

kinda like everything else these days, you pay more for less durability.
