My go-to move for staying active in any hostel room!
I pack a resistance band for all my trips because it's light and cheap. You can do a full workout right in your room, which saves a ton on gym passes!

Oh nice, I tried that once with a travel yoga mat. It rolled out perfectly in my Barcelona hostel room, right up until my bunkmate came back early and had to climb over it. Turns out those floors have way less space than you think when someone's trying to get to their suitcase. I still use the mat, but now I only unroll it if I'm totally alone. The band idea seems way smarter for shared spaces, honestly.

Saw a whole travel gear article last month that basically said bands beat mats for hostels every time. They kept talking about the space thing, like you can just toss a band in a corner when done. Makes total sense after hearing your yoga mat story lol. Those thin little strips of rubber really don't care if your roomie needs to get by.

Seriously? Are we REALLY making this into a THING? I mean, how much space does a rolled-up yoga mat even take? If your roommate can't step over it for a second, that's on them, not the mat. Bands might be smaller, but who cares if you're just doing a quick stretch? Sometimes I think people just like to OVERcomplicate travel gear.
