My garage cleanup just funded my next weekend getaway
I spent Sunday sorting through old boxes in the garage. To my surprise, I found a barely used travel pillow and a power adapter I bought years ago. Now I don't have to buy new ones for my trip to the coast. I also sold some old sports equipment and made $50. That's enough for my bus fare and a meal out. It's a small win, but it makes traveling on a budget so much easier.

Totally! My friend Dave did something similar last month. He found a whole camping set, still in the box, and a pair of old skis he sold online. That cash basically paid for his fuel to get up to the mountains.

When you mentioned your garage cleanup funding your trip, that really clicked for me. Finding stuff you already own is like getting a surprise discount on travel costs. I have cleared out my own storage and found useful things for vacations too. Selling old gear adds up faster than you might expect. It turns a boring chore into a way to make your plans happen. That kind of small win can make a tight budget feel much less stressful.
