I always booked flights on Tuesdays, then a $220 mistake on a Thursday changed my mind
For years I stuck to the old rule that Tuesday mornings are the cheapest time to book, so I'd wait around to buy tickets. Last month I watched a flight from Chicago to Austin jump from $180 to $400 over a weekend while I sat on it, and when I finally checked on a random Thursday afternoon it had dropped to $190. I think checking prices every day matters way more than which day you buy, but does anyone have real proof that Tuesday booking actually saves you anything?
