Can we talk about the hostel guy in Bangkok who charged me 200 baht for a "city tour" that was just him walking me to the 7-Eleven?
He looked so proud pointing at the sandwich shelf like it was the Grand Palace. What's the dumbest tour or add-on you've ever paid for on the road?

200 baht is like 6 bucks, so who really got hurt here? Yeah the guy oversold it, but you got a story out of it and he got a meal, sounds like a fair trade to me. People act like every little hustle abroad is some huge scam when half the time it's just a dude trying to get by. The sandwich shelf bit is funny, sure, but calling it the dumbest thing you ever paid for feels like a stretch. I've dropped way more cash on way worse and I wasn't even in a foreign country. Chill out and enjoy the memory.
