Was dumping my leftover chili down the drain until I realized I could stretch it into 3 more meals
I was standing over the sink last Tuesday in my apartment in Phoenix about to wash out a half-full pot of chili when my neighbor knocked and said that looks like a base for tacos and nachos and soup, so now I freeze it in baggies and get triple the food for zero extra cost, anyone else find a magic trick like that?

Three extra meals from leftover chili sounds like a stretch to me.

Karen, you say "stretch" like it's a bad thing but I'm pretty sure I've been eating the same pot of chili for a week straight and calling it meal prepping. I once turned a sad half-eaten burger into a "deconstructed shepherd's pie" by adding frozen veggies and a can of cream of mushroom. My fridge is basically a science experiment lab where leftovers go to breed. If I can get three meals out of chili, I'm practically a culinary genius compared to my usual standards.
