TIL my grocery bill dropped from $195 a week to $118 after I did one simple thing
I started shopping at the Aldi on 5th Street every Sunday morning before 9am instead of my usual Kroger run, and I logged every receipt for 12 weeks straight. My average weekly total went from $195 down to $118, and I still bought the same chicken, rice, frozen veggies, and coffee. So here is my debate question: is the savings worth the smaller selection and the early Sunday crowd, or am I just fooling myself and the "cheaper" store is not actually cheaper once you factor in extra trips?
