I finally tried frozen veggies vs fresh for 2 weeks and the savings were wild

So I ran a little experiment last month. I bought fresh broccoli and green beans for one week, then switched to frozen for the next week. The fresh stuff cost me about $8 for the week, the frozen only ran me $3.50. But here's the debate part: the frozen had more salt and didn't hold up as well in stir fries. The fresh had way better texture but I threw out like a quarter of it because it went bad in the fridge. Which side do you guys lean on for budget meals? Is the texture worth the extra cash and waste?

Nah, I'm going the complete opposite direction. Going half and half just makes the texture weird for me since the frozen stuff releases so much water while it thaws. If you're cooking them right away, fresh is the only way to go in my book.
