Heard a guy at the grocery store say beans are overrated, nearly lost it
Standing in the checkout line yesterday and this dude tells his friend canned pintos are a waste of money. Has anyone else had to defend beans as a staple when someone acts like they're too good for them?

Gotta say I really disagree with that guy. In my experience beans are one of the most versatile things you can keep in your pantry. They're cheap, they fill you up, and you can throw them into soups, salads, tacos, or just eat them with rice. Your mileage may vary but I think people who call beans overrated probably just don't know how to season them properly. Take this with a grain of salt but I've been cooking with beans for years and they've never let me down.
