Friend told me she feeds her family of 4 on $60 a week and I don't believe her
My buddy's wife said she spends $60 total at Aldi for dinners for the whole week. That's like $2.50 per person per meal. I'm calling bull because I spend $80 just on eggs and chicken these days. She said she uses lots of rice and beans but can you really make anything decent with that? What am I missing here or is she just not counting stuff?

Wait, isn't Aldi cheaper than that though?

Used to think people were lying about this too honestly. My cousin showed me her weekly meal plan and I straight up didn't believe her until I actually tried shopping with her. She does a ton of lentils and canned tomatoes, makes big batches of chili and soups that stretch for days. The trick is she uses meat more as a flavoring than the main event. I still spend more than $60 but I'm down to like $90 now and feeding just two people so she's probably right
