Warning: Stop using dryer sheets on your window screens
I used to rub dryer sheets on my screens every spring to cut down on dust, but last month I noticed the mesh was getting brittle and tearing. Switched to just rinsing them with a hose and a soft brush, saved me $45 on replacement screens I almost had to buy. Anyone else have a cleaning hack that backfired like this?

Is it really that big a deal though?

Oh wait, I mean, I don't think you're seeing the full picture here. It's not just about the inconvenience or whatever, it's about how this stuff can really mess with people's lives over time. Like, the small stuff adds up, and if nobody calls it out, it just keeps happening. I get that it might not seem huge in the moment, but idk, sometimes you gotta zoom out a bit. The fact that it's been brushed off so many times is kind of the whole problem, you know?
