Serious question, did anyone else stop buying pre-shredded cheese after doing the math on the block?
I used to grab the 8 oz bag of shredded mild cheddar for $3.49 at Stop & Shop without thinking, but last month I realized a 16 oz block of the same cheese is $4.29 and takes me 4 minutes to shred with the box grater I already own. Is there some hidden convenience cost I'm missing, or have I just been burning $15 a month for no reason?
