Threw $60 at a laser level and it was a total waste of money
I picked up a cheap laser level from a hardware store in Akron last month because I was tired of pulling string lines for long retaining walls. The thing was off by a full quarter inch over 30 feet right out of the box, even after I leveled it three times on the tripod. Anyone else had bad luck with budget laser levels for setting block courses?

Man, I feel your pain. I bought a cheap magnetic one off Amazon last year and it was so bad I just went back to using a water level like it's 1950. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for with this stuff.

Right? "Get what you pay for" should have a warning label that says "or get less than you paid for." At least a water level can't lie to you.
