Switched to a jointer after 10 years of face-buttering my bricks with a grinder

Watched a old timer at the yard knock out perfect frogs in half the time with a diamond blade jointer last Tuesday, tried it on a test wall and realized I'd been fighting my work for a decade. Anyone else make the jump from angle grinder to a proper jointer and feel stupid for not doing it sooner?

Oh man, I totally feel you on this one. It's wild how we get so stuck in our old ways that we don't even see the easier path right in front of us. Makes you wonder how much time you could've saved over the years, huh?

I finally forced myself to switch to a new file system at work last year after putting it off for like 5 years. Honestly just took me a weekend to set up and now I kick myself every day for not doing it sooner.
