PSA: That homeowner who "helped" by mixing my mortar almost cost me the job

Guy in Buckeye kept adding water while I wasn't looking, said he was just keeping it wet. Took me 20 minutes to tear out three rows that wouldn't set right and start over - has anyone else had a client mess with their mix?

Stop right there. I had a guy in Surprise who kept coming out with a garden hose, said he was "helping me stay ahead of the dry heat." I had to physically stand between him and the mixer until I could get a tarp over everything and tape down the corners. Some homeowners think they know concrete but all they know is watching YouTube for five minutes.

...and the worst part is they act like YOU'RE the unreasonable one for getting upset. I had this lady in Peoria who kept bringing out a bucket of water every five minutes saying "it looks dry" while I wasn't looking. Had to literally lock the wheel of my mixer with a rock so she couldn't keep messing with it. Some people just can't stand not being involved in everything.
