Old school vs. new school on mixing mortar by hand
I used to mix mortar in a wheelbarrow with a hoe for years, but last spring I finally bought a paddle mixer and a 5-gallon bucket. Do you guys think the old way still has its place for small jobs, or am I just being nostalgic?

Mixing mortar in a wheelbarrow with a hoe works fine for small jobs, but a paddle mixer is faster and easier on your back. Either way works, so don't overthink it.
