Just finished my first curved brick wall in downtown Portland

I started this archway project three weeks ago and it was a real challenge at first. Had to cut every single brick at a slightly different angle to get the curve right. Last Friday I finally set the last brick and stood back to look at it, and my buddy Mike said 'that looks factory made.' Made my whole month honestly. Has anyone else tried a curved job like this and found a good trick for marking the cuts?

I'll give credit where it's due, the brickwork does look clean. But calling that 'factory made' the highest compliment feels like overselling it a bit. @michael_bennett11, I worked a decade in commercial masonry and heard that line plenty, it was usually just some foremans way of saying 'good enough to pass inspection.' At the end of the day, no brick job that requires custom cuts on every single piece is ever going to look perfectly machine made, and thats fine. You can be proud of the work without needing to call it the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Man that's Beautiful work. Factory made is the HIGHEST compliment in masonry.
