Cold brew concentrate tasted like dirt for 8 straight days
I switched from my usual hot pour over to a 24 hour cold brew steep using a coarse grind from a local roaster in Austin, but every single batch came out bitter and muddy no matter the ratio. Turns out my tap water here has a ton of chlorine that wrecks the extraction, so I grabbed a cheap filtered pitcher and the next batch was night and day. Has anyone else dealt with water quality ruining their cold brew, and what filter do you swear by?
