I was burning through about 4 cords a winter in my 900 sq ft place and just figured that was normal for Vermont. He asked what size stove I had, did some quick math on the back of a receipt, and said I was running a unit meant for twice my square footage so I was just choking it down and wasting wood. Swapped to a smaller stove this fall and I'm on pace for maybe 2 cords, anyone else here resize their setup and see that big a drop?
