My wood stove pipe collapsed during a snowstorm, and the fix involved a dog leash
Woke up to a bang at 3am during that Nor'easter last Tuesday, found the stove pipe sagged right at the joint because the old brackets rusted out. I used two ratchet straps and a spare dog leash to brace it against the ceiling beam until the hardware store opened, still need to ask if anyone's tried those magnetic pipe supports for a cheap fix?
