Man, that's rough. A buddy of mine had the same thing happen with his rain barrels last season, and he was so annoyed he almost gave up on the whole setup like @the_drew suggested. He eventually got some heavy duty brackets from a hardware store and hasn't had a problem since, so at least the water savings came back eventually.

Fifty gallons is like fifty bucks worth of water. Seems like a lot of drama over a little rain that would have fallen anyway.
