Grew up raking leaves into tarps, now I just mow them into the grass and my neighbor thinks I'm nuts
For 20 years I did the whole fall ritual at my place in Worcester: rake, tarp, drag to the curb, repeat until my back quit. Last October a guy at the transfer station mentioned his mower has a mulch setting, so I tried it. Takes me maybe 40 minutes now instead of a full Saturday, and I haven't bought a single paper yard bag since. The grass comes in greener too, which I did not expect. Anyone else mulching instead of bagging, and did you have to change your mowing height for it to work?
