My $80 espresso tamper cracked after two weeks, so I tried a surprising fix
Picked up a nice looking tamper from a shop near Portland last month. The handle split right down the middle on day 12, no drops, just normal pressing. I was about to toss it when I remembered a woodworker buddy mentioning food grade epoxy. Cleaned the crack, clamped it overnight, and its been solid for 10 days now. Guess the cheap wood was dried too fast. Anyone else patch up broken gear instead of returning it? Whats the best fix youve done on something that shouldve been a dud?
