My $35 Walmart air fryer turned into a totally different machine after 8 months
Bought it in January and for the first 6 months that thing cooked perfect crispy fries every single time. By August the basket coating started flaking off into my food and the fan got so loud I could hear it from my bedroom. I called the 800 number and they said the nonstick only lasts about 200 washes, which nobody tells you when you buy it. Did anyone else have their air fryer fall apart way faster than expected?

Mine was a Chefman that did the same thing around month seven, the coating peeled off in sheets right into a batch of wings. I ended up scrubbing the rest of the flaking off with steel wool so it wouldn't keep getting in food, which voided any warranty I might have had left. Then I just started lining the basket with foil and it bought me another year before the fan motor finally died. Cheap fix if you're not ready to replace the whole thing yet.
