Everyone says return it when it breaks, but a repair guy in Fresno talked me out of it
My $260 air fryer died 5 weeks in and this sub's usual answer is just take it back. A small appliance repair guy in Fresno told me stores resell returns and half of them come back as open box anyway, so he fixes stuff for $30 flat. He swapped the heating element in 20 minutes and it has run 8 months since. Now I want to know, do you actually return things or just get them fixed?

Most returns get resold as new, not open box, that's the real scam.
