Composting won me over after I saw the dirt it makes
I started with just fruit peels. Now my garden soil is dark and full of life.

Honestly, my friend was so sure it was just a smelly hobby until I showed her my finished compost. She kept poking at it and saying how it looked like real store-bought dirt, but better. Now she texts me pictures of her own bin filling up.

Yeah that "excited about crushed eggshells" part got me. I once texted a picture of a really good banana peel to my partner and then had to explain my whole life.

It's wild how fast it changes everything. I mean, I went from just tossing coffee grounds in a bucket to actually getting excited about crushed eggshells. That first time you sift it and the dirt just feels different, like really soft and rich. It makes all the kitchen scraps feel useful instead of just trash.
