Am I the only one who spent 8 months trying to get a specific fern to fruit?

Had this weird fern in my Denver apartment, a Platycerium bifurcatum, and it just would not produce spores no matter what I did. Turns out I had the humidity levels all wrong for almost a year. What's the longest you've been stuck on a simple plant problem?

Ugh, two years with a sad fiddle leaf fig.

honestly @karen_nelson40 i gotta push back a little. "brutal" feels like a lot for a plant. i mean yeah fiddle leafs are divas but two years of being sad sounds like maybe it's just a slow grower, not a crisis. i've had one that looked droopy for a year then randomly put out five new leaves. maybe it's just doing its thing in its own time. not everything needs to be a big deal.

Two whole years and it's still sad? That's brutal.
