That Tuesday in Portland where every hinge fought back

Last spring I had a run of 14 rebinds for a local library and one day, Tuesday I think, every single hinge just refused to cooperate. The boards kept shifting on me, I snapped two finishing nails, and by 3 PM I had glue on my glasses and a pile of rejected covers. I finally switched to my old bone folder and slowed way down, which saved the last 5 books. Has anyone else had a day where the simple stuff just goes sideways for no reason?
