Pressing book cloth with a temp controlled iron changed everything for me

I was fighting bubbles and wrinkles on buckram covers for 2 years, so I tried using my wife's $30 clothes iron on the lowest setting with a scrap parchment sheet between, and after 3 practice covers the cloth lay flat like it was glued by a machine, anybody else use an iron instead of a real book press?
