Used to dog-ear every single page I wanted to remember in book club books, now I just use those little sticky flags

Switched after my friend in the Austin group called me out for ruining her borrowed copy of 'The Gone World' with folded corners and three years later I still buy my own flags by the 100 pack.

Went through a whole thing where I'd fold the bottom corner and then forget which side had the good parts so I'd end up re-reading entire chapters. My bookmarks end up all over the house too, pretty sure there's one in my car console and another under the couch cushions.

I don't know man, folding a page corner on a borrowed book is a little different than dog-earing your own stuff. I've got a buddy who still folds corners in his library books and nobody's called the cops on him yet. Feels like the sticky flag thing is just paying extra for the same result. But hey, if you like buying little plastic tabs every few months, more power to you.
