Switched from printed guides to a shared Google Doc for our book club debates
I used to print out those big debate guides from the library for every single meeting. They cost like $15 each and half the pages never got used. Last month I made a simple Google Doc with bullet points for our talk about 'Project Hail Mary' and shared the link. Everyone added their own notes before we met and it actually kept us on track way better. Anybody else ditch paper for digital in their club?

That "kept us on track way better" part really hit home. We tried digital notes once for our mystery book club and ended up accidentally planning a potluck for three different dates because someone edited the wrong cell. Now I just show up with a crumpled napkin covered in scribbles and hope for the best.

The Project Hail Mary doc sounds perfect actually because that book has so many science tangents to keep track of. I was totally against digital stuff for my club at first, I thought it would make meetings feel like work or something. But then our printouts kept getting coffee stains and someone always forgot theirs, so we tried a shared doc for "The Thursday Murder Club" and it actually helped us keep the suspects straight without flipping through 50 pages of notes. Now I just paste in a few key questions before the meeting and everyone can scroll through on their phone without losing their place.
